Boston Based Confocal Imaging Specialist Role

We are seeking an Imaging Specialist to join a new light microscopy lab. The Imaging Specialist will assist the manager in training scientists to use the equipment, assist users in optimizing data acquisition, customizing the equipment and software to meet their needs and troubleshoot issues with samples or instruments that may arise while imaging.

In addition, the Imagine Specialist will perform the routine maintenance and quality control checks to ensure optimal performance of the core equipment, including spinning-disk confocal, single point scanning confocal, multiphoton and Total Internal Reflection (TIRF) systems. Along with the manager he/she will actively interact with microscopy sales representatives to demo, update and repair the microscopy systems.

Required Qualifications of the Imaging Specialist:

Hands-on light microscopy experience (>2 years preferred)
Experience training others is preferred
Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
Excellent communication skills and desire to teach and learn new techniques
M.S or equivalent is preferred.
