The Carpenter lab is considering organizing a data challenge where deep learning experts attempt to build a computer model that identifies nuclei in images.
Can you help by donating images of nuclei, plus images where you’ve delineated the nuclei?
Feel free to direct message @karhohs if you’ve got something you may want to contribute. Fluorescence and brightfield/histology images are equally welcomed.
The community would be grateful and if all goes well, within a year or two software like CellProfiler will just “know” what nuclei look like, no tweaking required!
