Python version

#1

hello lee!
This is really a good initiative to shift cell profiler to python. I was just curious about version being used. As per python developers, python version 3.0 have undergone major changes at language level than compared to their 2.x version. Are you planning to shift version 3.x soon? As we are planning to have ourselves trained in python… your suggestion would be of great help to us. I know other developers always like to use stable version of language, still…?

We’re currently using 2.6. We probably won’t be able to do any work related to 3.0 until numpy and scipy are compatible with 3.0. At that point, we’ll hopefully be able to adjust the code to support both 2.6 and 3.0 without too much effort.
